  • V. John Ludmerer, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. John graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. His clinical year was spent at Oklahoma State University. He has been practicing veterinary medicine for fifteen years, thirteen of which have been spent right here in the lower Hudson Valley. Our beautiful hospital in Warwick, NY was designed and built by Dr. John in 2007. He has lived in the area all his life, he attended Burke Catholic High School and Villanova University. Dr. John currently resides in Greenwood Lake, NY with his wife and children. Besides veterinary medicine, Dr. John enjoys farming, playing volleyball, and almost any outdoor activity. The Ludmerers share their home with one cat - Uno, "the one eyed wonder".

  • Mary Raum, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Raum grew up on a farm in Sullivan County, NY. She attended Cornell University, studying Music and Neurobiology & Behavior. She graduated with honors and distinction in research; co- publishing a study on equine cribbing behavior in the Journal of Applied Animal Behavior Science.
    Dr. Raum obtained her DVM at the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2009. Her professional interests include exotic animal medicine, fish pathology, and soft tissue surgery. 
    Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Raum keeps up with a busy performance schedule as a professional oboe and English horn player. When not in the animal hospital or performing in concert halls, Dr. Raum enjoys SCUBA diving, painting, keeping up with the fashion scene in NYC, traveling with her fiance, Alex, and being serenaded by their three cats Theo, Levi, and Layla.

  • Jeryl Spencer, DVM

    Dr. Spencer has been enjoying companion animal practice for over 20 years. After a year at Ross University in St. Kitts, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University. She lived and practiced in Cincinnati for 10 years before moving back East to be closer to family. Dr. Spencer has special interest in canine and feline internal medicine, dentistry, and small mammal care.
    Jeryl grew up in Bergen County and spent summers and holidays in nearby Highland Lakes, NJ. A local resident of Warwick for over 10 years, Jeryl shares her home with her human family and 3 dogs, 4 cats and a bearded dragon!

  • Pamela Shultz, DVM, CVA

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Shultz is a 2004 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has been offering holistic veterinary services including acupuncture, cold laser therapy and animal Reiki here at Orchard Grove since 2011.  For the past several years, Dr. Shultz has also been working with Warwick Valley Humane Society, providing both integrative and conventional care to homeless pets.  In 2012, she and NY Philharmonic associate principal cellist, Eileen Moon co-founded Friends of Warwick Valley Humane Society to help raise awareness of and funds for animal welfare and pet adoption in our community.

  • Diane Walter, LVT

    Technician

    Diane graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver Colorado in 2002. She has been working as an LVT in NJ and NY for 14 years in small  animal practices and emergency. She came to Orchard Grove as a part time technician in March of 2013 and is now here as a full time technician. Diane is married and has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a horse and a miniature donkey. Diane loves to horseback ride and spend time in Lake George.
